Coach Bachman enters his second season as head coach and fourth as defensive coordinator for Jefferson. Before joining the Jaguars, he spent a decade as an assistant coach and co-special teams coordinator at Gustavus Adolphus College. His coaching career includes head coaching roles at St. Peter and Mankato Loyola high schools, along with assistant coaching positions at Augsburg University and Eden Prairie High School. A longtime educator, Coach Bachman taught Social Studies at St. Peter High School from 1993-2022, adding the role of Operations and Maintenance Supervisor since 2008. He is a proud alumnus of Gustavus Adolphus College and Fairmont High School, where he played football. Coach Bachman and his wife Wendy, a Jefferson graduate and Lincoln Bear, have four children: Beau (Estee), Alina Ann (Colin), Chloe Laurae (Andy), and Avery (Claire), as well as three grandchildren: Clara Elle, Logan Ann, and Bruce.
A Jefferson alum, Coach Dammann returns for his 12th season on the Jaguars' coaching staff. A 2009 graduate, he played wide receiver, tight end, and defensive end for the Jags before continuing his football career at the University of Northwestern-St.Paul, where he played tight end for four years while earning his teaching degree. Coach Dammann has been a Special Education teacher in Bloomington for the past decade and currently teaches Olson Middle School. He and his wife, Keely, live in Bloomington with their three children: Nash, Colte, and Jora, who was born last August. Keely is also part of the Jaguars coaching, leading the volleyball program.
Coach Dilger joins Jefferson for his second season, brought onto the staff by Coach Bachman. A former cornerback at Gustavus Adolphus College, he played alongside Beau Bachman and Brian Karg (both now coaches on the team) before transitioning to student coaching due to injury. Since then, he has coached and volunteered with multiple high school programs, leading strength and speed training and working with junior high football. Originally from South St. Paul, he has also coached summer strength programs and football camps in his hometown. Coach Dilger currently works in finance and lives in Richfield with his wife and their young son, Nash. He's excited to see Nash decked out in Jaguars gear on Friday nights under the lights!
Coach Kalina enters his second season as a Defensive Assistant and Defensive Line Coach for the Varsity team. A Jefferson graduate, he played under Coach Leverenz from 2009 to 2011 before continuing his education at Minnesota State Mankato. He has previously coached youth football in Mankato and Legion baseball in Bloomington and is excited to bring his experience back to Jefferson.
Coach Kolumbus steps into his second year as Jefferson's Offensive Coordinator, returning for his second stint with the program. With 17 years of coaching experience, he played college football at UW-Eau Claire. Coach Kolumbus and his wife, Meghan, have two children, Rhys and Vaughan.
Coach Ladd is in his eighth season with the Bloomington Jefferson Football Program as the Defensive/Offensive Line Coach for the Junior Varsity Squad. He has also served as the Freshman Head Coach, as well as coaching the linebacker and running back position groups for the freshmen squad. Coach Ladd has coached at Bloomington Kennedy High School, St. Louis Park High School, and Academy of Holy Angels High School. In addition, he serves as a Youth Football Development Coach for the Minnesota Vikings. Semi-pro coaching experience includes; Linebackers Coach for the St. Paul Pioneers, Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Line Coach for the South Metro Patriots, and Senior Advisor for Player Development for the Willmar Mud Dawgs. He has also served as the Defensive Line Coach for the Minnesota Mud Dawgs, Mid-America Fighting Orioles, North Bank Bulls, and Minnesota Vixen. Coach Ladd learned the game as a player within the Hutchinson, MN football program, where he was a member of back-to-back undefeated state championship teams. His coaching philosophy is centered upon developing better football players, attention to detail, personal responsibility, and the value of teamwork. Coach Ladd is founder and president of RDL & Associates, a government relations and strategic communications consulting firm. He is an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and loves spending every spare moment he can with his 14 – year old son, Ryan.
A staple of Jefferson Football since 1992, Coach Leverenz brings decades of experience to the program as the linebackers coach and special teams coordinator. A graduate of Ankeny High School in Iowa, he played linebacker at the University of Minnesota before a brief stint with the Washington Redskins. Beyond football, Coach Levy has been teaching Human Anatomy, AP, and General Biology at Jefferson for 30 years and serves as the Head Boys Track and Field Coach. He and his wife Michele, a Jefferson alum, live in Lakeville with their children, Tate and Skyler, and their dog, Murphie.
Now in his fourth season with Jefferson, Coach Roundtree brings a wealth of experience from coaching multiple youth sports, including football, soccer, and basketball. A certified personal trainer and massage therapist, he has completed strength and conditioning internships at Augsburg University and Training Day Fitness. A devoted husband and father, he and his wife, Tanesha, raise their two children along with four nieces and nephews: Eden, Tremaine, TJ, Mekhi, Milani, and Monae. He credits all his accomplishments to Tanesha's unwavering support.
Coach Sanders is a retired 24-year U.S. Navy veteran and brings extensive coaching experience from youth to high school levels across the country. Originally from Hampton, IA, he's a passionate Iowa Hawkeye fan. Coach Sanders and his wife, Danielle, have three children: Keaton, Will, and Liv. He's grateful to make an impact in his second season with Jefferson.
Coach Swartout enters his 24th season coaching at Jefferson, having previously spent a season at Apple Valley High School. A 1994 Jefferson graduate, he played offensive guard for the Jaguars before continuing his football career at UW-River Falls. He began coaching at Jefferson while completing his undergraduate degree. A dedicated educator, Coach Swartout has been a Health and PE teacher at Valley View Middle School in Bloomington for 22 years. He and his wife, Kelly, have two children: Brady, a junior at Iowa State, and Logan, a senior at Shakopee High School.
